Virginia Cooperative Extension is offering a workshop called Living Well with Chronic Conditions this spring. I highly encourage you and your family, coworkers, friends, neighbors, etc., to sign up!

Feel free to share and check out the website.

Workshops are 6 sessions long, developed by Stanford University. One of my favorite quotes from a participants is:

“[The workshop] teaches so much more than just physical activity and nutrition recommendations. It has taught me how to deep breathe properly through the diaphragm, about balancing exercises I can try at the comfort of my own home, and more. It is because of this program … that I have made the decision to practice it every day.”

If you or a loved one is living with a chronic condition, you know that how we manage our conditions on a day to day basis greatly determines our symptoms and quality of life. Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) participants practice evidence-based tools to control their symptoms, better manage their health problems, and lead fuller lives.
